Northern Governors Set To Support State Policing

Four Northern Governors, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state, Babangida Aliyu of Niger state, Sule Lamido of Jigawa state and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano have all indicated their support for state policing.
They have also threatened to stop their contribution to police fund.
The governors made this known during a solidarity visit to Port Harcourt, to support Governor Chibuike Amaechi, who has been under criticism from his party, and were attacked by anti-Amechi protesters on getting to the Rivers state capital.
According to reports, the protesters who besieged the Port Harcourt International Airport, had camped there from 7am on Tuesday morning.
