A retired army buried alive in Benin

The Nigeria Police Command Zone 5, Benin has apprehended eight persons in connection with the murder of an 82-year-old retired Police Inspector, Samuel Ajayi, who was allegedly buried alive by his assailants over a community related crisis in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State.
It was gathered that the late Ajayi was invited by a group of persons to intervene in a community crisis but was abducted by the same gang who took him to a forest where he was allegedly buried alive in a grave.
The suspects took a team of policemen accompanied by newsmen to the scene of the murder, to the grave where Ajayi was buried alive, only to discover that his body had been exhumed and reburied in a yet to be identified location in the deep forest in Ovia.
